


About Dana
Dana Bowen is a born-and-raised Vancouverite, but lives in Yellowknife, NT. There, she lives with her partner Johnnie and their bright-eyed cat, Penny.
Dana has a degree in journalism from Langara College in Vancouver, B.C. and studied fashion history at Vancouver Community College. Since 2014, she has worked across Canada and abroad as a journalist, editor, photographer and as a social media and communications specialist.
Outside of work, Dana performs as a burlesque dancer under the stage name, Jolie Fromage (a persona Girls with Fake Names was inspired by). She performs regularly in Yellowknife, and has done several shows in Melbourne, Australia at a club known as The Speakeasy. Dana is a queer, Metis woman who is passionate about telling stories from the past.
